The Mullin Varsity Boys basketball team woke up Saturday morning to receive news of freshman classmate, Cheyenne McCulloch, having been in a car wreck and thus being badly hurt. After a briefing of what was known to be facts, the players were left alone to decide to play or not. Their decision was to win the game versus Gordon as a dedication to their classmate. With a huddle break of "for Cheyenne!!!", the players made the dedication-game a victory by a score of 19 to 11 in honor of their classmate.
It was a low scoring game with both teams being patient on offense and not allowing many second shots on defense. The victory also closed out the Bulldogs' effort during a three-day tournament at Lingleville.
